I just wanted to let you know about an amazing jazz  club in New York that has a free live streaming video feed for its jazz  performances.  It’s &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.smallsjazzclub.com/index.cfm&quot;&gt;Small’s Jazz Club &lt;/a&gt;in New York.   120. This  is just amazing.  They have about 2 or 3 performances per night,  including a jam session. These are top notch New York jazz musicians. In  fact, I was just watching the Bruce Harris Quartet last night and none  other than the great trumpet player Roy Hargrove showed up to jam.  He  played a great rendition of Coltrane’s “Naima” and a few other tunes. I  was amazed at the musicianship of the players.  I mean, everyone was  good. Really good.  This was not the sort of nightmare jam session that  we sometimes hear about.&lt;br /&gt;
  121. I had to laugh when a singer got up and  called “Just Friends” in Bb. I think only the piano player and Roy  Hargrove took a solo on that one!  It’s usually played the key sof G or  F. &lt;br /&gt;
  122. Anyway, check it out.  This goes on every night and you can  get exposed to some great up and coming cats on the New York jazz  scene.  This is expecially great for those of you who don’t live in this  country and don’t really get to hear live jazz from great players.&lt;br /&gt;

I myself was not at all versed in music (especially guitar to play a musical instrument) but I&#39;ll try to explain some types of picking that I think there are only two concepts of using finger picking (finger picking) and picking using the tool (Proper picking). Most of the Tab &quot;no&quot; will tell you the length of the note. Usually it is up to you to listen to the song to get rhythm.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;However - do not be disappointed. Tab should give an indication of timing. In the example above all the notes are evenly spaced so you can make the assumption that the notes are the same length (maybe all eighth notes or quavers) but this is not always true - it depends on who wrote the tab.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As a general rule, the distance from the notes on tab should tell you what notes are long and which are short and rapid, but usually will not tell you if a note is a triplet or anything like that.
